German Authorities Uncover Weapons Stockpile in Remscheid Raid
A public broadcaster reported that the operation, supported by Europol, was aimed at dismantling an international arms trafficking network.
German special units carried out searches at several residential and commercial locations late Sunday into early Monday, resulting in the arrest of multiple individuals.
The stockpile of weapons was discovered concealed in a secret compartment at an auto repair facility, as detailed by a daily newspaper.
Authorities traced a vehicle traveling from the Polish border to Remscheid, arresting the driver—who is also the owner of the shop—on the premises. In addition, officers confiscated USB drives, SIM cards, and mobile phones found at the site.
